She was finally told to take at least 6 months off to give her body a rest. She got pg again after the 6 mos and carried the baby to term. She then went on to have another completely healthy pregnancy. She stopped trying after having the two children.
She was IF too so the whole thing was doubly hard.
According to her RE, your chances of having a successful pg after 3 m/c's are still 80%. After 4 m/c's, you still have a 60% chance of carrying to term. (This is assuming the m/c's occure in a row and BEFORE you've ever had a baby). So getting pg and trying to carry to term is still the most successful option IF you can ride that emotional roller coaster.
The emotional toll though is terrible and nearly ended our friendship. She could only deal with the m/c's in a very insular way and I didn't even know about the 4th m/c for months. We did clear the air and she did have two healthy babies but it was a VERY hard 2 years.
So much good luck to you!
Julia
