My decision was based on the need for testing...

My RE really wanted to test the byproducts of the pregnancy. I had a DC&E. I was really glad to not have to deliver on my own and wait it out. I, too, was at the end of the first trimester and our baby girl had passed away about 2 weeks prior. I was on progesterone and I didn't start bleeding even though my uterus was one big massive SCH.
This is a personal decision but like Chris said it is uneventful and I only spotted for 3 days after my procedure. It doesn't make the loss any less painful it just makes it a bit more bearable.
