Bedrest, although often recommended, is of no benefit for 1st trimester bleeding- I advise women to do what they are psychologically comfortable with doing

Close observation throughout pregnancy is also reasonable since bleeding in early pregnancy is associated w/ a higher risk for later pregnancy complications
