Subchorionic Hemmorage (pg ment) m

Posted by tadeybin on 22:33 4/14/2005:

Hello. I am currently 14w3d pg with a singleton. At 11 weeks I had some slight cramping and backache and red spotting so a trip to the OB's office showed a small subchorinic hemmorage. He told me to take it easy but no bedrest was needed. Baby looked fine otherwise.

Since then I have had on and off spotting. It's not much, and it's usually pink or a dark red or brown. Never a bright "new blood" look to it. THe spotting is very light and could be gone for 5 days and then come back for a few days. Or I could only go a day or two before it's back. No real pattern. It's never straight blood, but more tinged discharge and usually is associated with a bowel movement.

I keep calling my OB and they keep assuring me all is fine. Should I be doing more (or less, in this case)? Should I be on bedrest? What are the risks of a SH to my pregnancy? At what point should I panic? (ok, I have already done this!) How long can this go on? What are my odds?

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer me!
Stacie 14w3d
