Prenatal vitamins with 4,000 IU of vitamin A...Is it safe to....m

take this which is 50% of RDA for pregnant women plus drinking A LOT of milk and having a couple eggs and tomatoes a day. Milk seems to be one of the few things that calms my stomach so I'm probably drinking a gallon of milk every 2 days (1/2%milk). Each milk serving is supposed to contain 10% RDA of vitamin A.
I've read that excessive vitamin A can cause CNS, bone, and visual defects.
I'm 6.5 weeks pregnant and worried. I'm using the Walgreens brand of prenatals and noticed my old PRESCIPTION brand didn't include Vitamin A.
The Vitamin A in the prenatals is from beta carotene I think.
Thank you so much for your time and caring to all our neurotic quesstions.
