Hi Rhonda -
I had SEVERE polyhydramnios with my last pg. We actually didn't ever get a fluid measurement but I was measuring 43 weeks when I delivered at exactly 37 weeks (and he was less than 7 lbs). It was a phenomenal amount of fluid. In most cases, polyhydramnios is idiopathic, meaning there's nothing wrong with you or with your baby. It is only a small percentage of cases where something with your baby's urinary system is causing or contributing to the fluid level. I believe the cut-off is 25 so, 28 is not very elevated. I know it's hard not to worry, but it sounds like a slight elevation. Good luck on your upcoming delivery!

Beck
