I'm sorry that they scared you. If they were really worried about your baby's urinary system (the most likely baby-related cause for poly) they could do an u/s of his bladder, kidneys, etc. Usually, those anomalies can be detected by the 20th week so if you had a big u/s already, they most likely would have seen something then (My current pg baby has a kidney problem that was easily seen at 18 weeks already). Try to relax - it sounds like you will be an "unexplained" poly case and you may/may not have it in future pgs. I don't know if this can be the case, but could you just have a slight elevation in water because he IS a bigger baby with therefore bigger bladder capacity etc. I would think that a 10 lb baby would pee more in quantity than a 6 lb baby but maybe I am wrong...
