Questions about Placenta Previa and Restrictions….

Posted by shangree01 on 13:29 7/6/2005:

I have a question. My Level II showed “Marginal” placenta Previa. That was at 18 weeks. When my OB seen the results, and I had my appt with her last week, she just said it has plenty of time to move. Which I also know it does.

When I had my last U/S this past week, I was 23 weeks. I am no longer Marginal, but full placenta previa. Again, I know I still have time for it to move. I go about every month to get an U/S. My next one will be on Aug 17th. So we will see then how it looks. I will be about 29 weeks then.

I have read up on it and have heard others talk that have had it. They mention having certain restrictions or put on bedrest.. and when I mention to others I have it, I get the, “Did the put you on bedrest?” or “They are letting you still work?”

Should there be something I am more aware of? My OB hasn’t said anything or seemed the least bit worried.
Also… what are the chances of it moving away now at this stage? It seem to cover MORE since last U/S a month ago instead of less.

Any information would be great! :-)

~~Shannon
