I'd say we're potentially at risk for either poly OR oligohydramnios (not enough fluid) because it's dependent on kidney function and we know that one of his kidneys is not functioning correctly. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It makes total sense to me that big baby= more pee but I wasn't sure if it makes good medical sense!

Yes, I had a TON of fluid. Dh guesstimated it to be about 3 gallons! They had to change my bed completely 3 times in 2 hours and it actually ran off the bed onto the floor! The nurse who had to take the laundry bag out said that it was too heavy to take in one trip and that it felt to be about 50 lbs! I don't quite think it was that much but I weighed myself right after his birth (a couple of hours) and I was minus 30 lbs (and he was less than 7, plus placenta) so I'm gonna say about 20 lbs of water?!?!? It was crazy! But, despite all that, he's fine and I'm fine - so I'm sure you'll be ok!
