with one of my pgcies. (is it the same with velamentous cord insertion?)It means the cord is inserted to the side of the placenta instead of the center. Also, it may have a portion around the insertion point that is not protected. With this you cannot go into labor and must have a c-section. If you have this problem and do not know about it and try vaginal delivery, mortality is over 90%. Other than concerns about delivery, the baby should grow fine.
