High early HCG/possible sign of downs?

I went in to get my progesterone level on Wednesday (my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage, so I wanted to be sure) and my HCG level at 12-13 DPO was over 100 (something in the 111-120, I don't remember the exact nubmer).

I know that is high. I remember somewhere that a high HCG can be a risk for Down's. My doctor poo-poo'hd me and said that it is only the second trimester, not first but I am not so sure.

I know it could be perfectly normal or twins. But, I am older (will be 39 in October) and I already have two special needs kids (one with CP and one with Autism). I am freaked out.

Does anyone know anything about this?
