I've had two subchorionic hematomas (one with both pregnancies at 14 weeks both times). I was told during both pregnancies that the bleeding totally skews the results of the Triple Screen. I actually turned down the AFP during my first pregnancy because of it. This time I did the early nuchal scan (in conjunction with bloodwork at 13 weeks and before my bleed) and got great results. My doc said he was glad I'd done it as if we'd tried to do it now (almost 17 weeks) we'd almost surely get a positive result and then have to deal with choosing an amnio or not.

I'd really invesitgate the aminio as your results are very well the result of your bleed. I'd maybe get that level 2 u/s and THEN decide about the amnio (amnio can be done at any time).

Just my .02 and hoping you can maybe worry less. The bleed can really throw it off!
