Membranes protruding out

My step-daughter went to her OB appointment on Thursday. The OB told her that her membranes are starting to protrude out her cervix. She is about 26 weeks. She had some dilation/preterm labor that was stopped about 2-3 weeks ago. Is there anything that she should be doing about this? Her OB, who is a high-risk OB, didn't put her on bedrest but did schedule her for another appointment this week. Told that she is not dilated at this time. Am worried about her so any info would be great!
