fetal fibronectin

Posted by faith00 on 14:44 9/19/2005:

I am just curious what the odds are of having a negative test AFTER a
positive test.
I am 28 wks pregnant w/ twins. I had a negative ffn at 25 wks and a
positive one at 27 wks. As far as I know, I am asymptomatic...this is
my first pregnancy and I have been put on bedrest due to a shortening
cervix since about 20 wks.
I know this test is not as reliable when you have a positive result;
however I am concerned because I previously had a negative result.
Thanks for the insight.
Faith
