I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this...
I need advice regarding my situation. I had a blood test taken on 11/30 for an overactive thyroid. the blood test came back positive for pregnancy with an hcg of 15. Monday 12/5 another blood test was done, and the hcg was 190. Thursday 12/8 another blood test was done and the hcg was at 230. Last Friday, my doctor informed me at this point that the pregnancy was most likely going to be a miscarry, and that there was no way it could be a viable pregnancy.
My last period began on 10/18. However, i am highly irregular.
I had an ultrasound yesterday. The ultrasound showed no sign of pregnancy, miscarriage, or anything related to pregnancy or micarriage. It was the ultrasound of a non-pregnant woman.
It is feasible for me to believe that the most likely explanation for this is that i'm simply much earlier in the pregnancy than my doctor believes? And, should i still hold out hope that the pregnancy may be healthy, despite the fact the the hcg failed to double in 72 hours time between the 2nd and 3rd blood test? I'm playing the waiting game right now, but am anxious to know what is going on with my body. I was devastated when informed of the likely miscarry, but the miscarry wasnt found in the ultrasound.
If anyone could shed any light on my situation, i would be extremely greatful. Thank you.
