A very close friend of mine (whom I met while our babies were in the NICU together a year and a half ago) is 22 weeks pg. A few weeks ago I told her that I thought she might have cholestasis. She was having severe itching with no rash, so I looked it up and told her to call her doc. Well, she does. Her doctor sat her down and really didnt tell her much other than they would watch her closely, blood test every week, ect. Her liver enzymes were 3x's higher than normal, but no sign of jaundice yet. She also found out that her son has fifths disease and now she has it too.
I'm worried for her. Is it really 'terrible' that she has both of these things going against her now? What can she expect. Can I pass on any words of wisdom from an expert (you)?
Thanks in Advance.
