Progesterone dropping

Posted by 13Virgo on 23:29 1/6/2006:

I am 25 y.o with a history of Septated Uterus with partial repair. I have a 3-½ y.o born at 36 ½ weeks, which was the result of a complicated pregnancy. I had Placenta previa, bleeding, and pre-term labor and needed progesterone support until 12 weeks.

My Betas seem to be doubling:

12/30/05 Beta 46
01/03/06 Beta 250
01/04/06 Beta 500, with progesterone of 19.9
01/05/06 Beta 650, with progesterone of 14.7 (This was a repeat as she felt the test on the 4th was too early to compare levels)

This was a natural unmedicated pregnancy. My concern is the drop in progesterone in a 24 Hr period, when I let the Dr. know of my concerns, she informed me that because of my age, I could produce my own progesterone. I am not so sure about that, as I needed it with my first. Please advise me, if I should seek alternative treatment, as I don’t want to lose this baby.
