spotting at 19 weeks

Posted by 71aquarians on 14:00 4/5/2006:

Hello,

I am 19 weeks pg after doing ivf/icsi. I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma at week 7. It was 2x3cm and I bled heavily a few times with spotting in between until 12 weeks. At 15 weeks I had an u/s which showed no more signs of the sch.

Almost 7 weeks of no spotting/bleeding and thinking the worst is over I woke up today with some dark red spotting and is still there now. I had an u/s right away this morning to see what is causing the spotting. They couldn't see any signs of where it's coming from. They said the placenta is a tad low, and there are some blood vessels around the cervix that are a bit enlarged, but that it is normal.

Everything looked good with the baby, cervix and placenta, but I am SO worried about this spotting, I just want to know what is causing this. I am so scared of loosing this baby. Any ideas what could cause spotting now?

Any kind of advice is appreciated,
andia
