UTI causing an irritable uterus
I have been having alot of feelings of 'tightening' in my uterus that is really uncomfortable and lasts for long periods of time off and on all day. My whole uterus is very hard alot of the time. I went in to the hospital to get checked and they discovered I have a UTI and perscribed amoxicillin and told me I have a irritable uterus because of this. I had a vaginal check and my cervix felt soft and 'finger tip' open. Then I had an u/s and my cervix is still around 4 cm.
I am only 23 weeks and I am very worried about going into PTL. If my cervix is long but soft and fingertip open should I be OK? Will the irritable uterus go away once the UTI clears up??
