2 Leeps and 2 Cone Biopsies...now pregnant

Posted by jwarnke on 18:20 5/29/2006:

Hi Dr,

Over the last 10 years I have had 4 surgeries on my cervix. My most recent was a Cone Biopsy in Dec '05. I am under the care of a Gyn Onc and he released me to go forward with an FET (we had 1 frozen embie left) and I just found out I am pregnant from that.

Here's my question. I have had two full term, problem free pregnancies after 1 LEEP and 1 Cone Biopsy, but since then I have had another LEEP and Cone Biopsy. My dr. said that he tried to take as little of my cervix as possible and he does feel like I have enough cervix to hold a pregnancy.

Do you think that I would automatically need a cerclage? Or, is there a chance that I will need no intervention at all? What would you do with a patient that had that history.

I really appreciate any response.

Jen
