any infection can put you at risk for delivering early. Please make sure to take all the meds. and make sure they are testing your urine often to make sure the infection has cleared up.
IU can happen for many women, even ones w/ no infection, i began at wk 16 w/ IU and had contractions till i went into labor at 28 wks. I did not have any infections. Sometimes its just a way of life so to speak.
Hopefully yours will settle down after ur uti goes away. Make sure u get to L&D right away if u have more than 6 contractions an hr or if u even just don't feel right, thats what they are there for!!!! good luck!
