I am 21wk3d pg, and I had my 1st ultrasound on April 28th then a second u/s on the 22nd of May to look at the baby. The O/B told me that I had a cyst on my left ovary in March during a regular check-up and then they wanted to get a measurement on the it in April and then double check it again when they were looking at the baby. The measurement on the 28th visit was 4.79 and then the measurement on the 22nd had shown that it had grown just a little bit. So now I am being referred to a Materal Fetal Medicine Specialist to take a look at it to be on the safe side. I've never been told that I've had a cyst before or that it runs in my family. My dr. is not being much help here especially since the hospital knows that we are moving in Aug. to VA due to my husband being in the military. What kind of problems does a cyst cause? Will this cause problems with deliver or growth of the baby? Any info is appreciated.
