drop in progesterone level

Posted by moonjockey on 18:38 7/31/2006:

I'm happy to report that my wife seems to have gotten past a bleed and placental separation (looks like it's healed. She's now at 10 weeks today and we had a great looking scan this morning.

None of our highs seem to last too long though.

After getting results back about progesterone and estrogen levels, we learned that her estrogen levels are very high (which I guess means the placenta's doing a good job at making it).

But our progesterone level dropped from 38 last week to 27.3 this week.

She's been on Progesterone injections daily, and the doctor's said to continue those, and not to increase it.

But this has thrown yet another scare at us. The doctor says that they don't start getting concerned unless the level drops below 20, but it dropped over 10 points in a week!

Should we be worried?
