Yes, I feel like a ticking time bomb and my DH has banned me from researching it on the internet. Since this came up, I have had a few moles removed at my request (derm said they were fine) and they were in fact fine. I've got lots of moles on my back so I've been seeing a very good dermopathologist for 7 years, which is such a blessing and why we got this one so early, I guess.
Part of my scare, I think, was that this was amelanotic SSM -- pink, small round burn-like patch on my arm. I noticed it for the first time this summer. If it has been dark, I would have run to the derm, but since it was pink, I just kinda took my time keeping my appointment -- what with the pregnancy and all. In the end, it was probably good I didn't know what it was b/c I never worried about it until AFTER he biopsied it and told me that it was in the earliest stage.
Thanks for your support! Where are you? I'm in Houston.
