Two additional questions...(prev preg ment)
I am homozygous for MTHFR and have been on Lovenox throughout
my pregnancy which as I said below, has been complicated by IUGR.
There is some disagreement and discussion between my various
doctors about whether I should be on Lovenox for 6 weeks (or at all)
AFTER pregnancy. This was done by my previous OB, due to what I was
told was an increased risk that I could have a blood clot. I have no
other clotting issues and my Homocysteine was just 3, early in my
pregnancy. The SECOND question is about when and whether to go
back on baby aspirin. Again in the last pregnancy, they had me go
back on it right away, permanently. This time, the new docs are
saying, not while breastfeeding, especially a small, probably preemie. I
am 35 weeks today, and ON Heparin and OFF baby aspirin, to prepare
for delivery within this coming two weeks.
Many thanks for your thoughts - the doctors are listening to my
concerns and are willing to make some allowances, where something is
important to me -- obviously assuming they believe it to be a
legitimate option and safe.
