Thanks Dr. Cusick. I am amazed that you find the time to respond to so many of us, and in reading your past messages, I am impressed with your compassion.

As I mentioned, I was a little skeptical of those early screens, for fear that the vanishing twin might have altered blood levels (it seems to me that a VT would increase both HCG and AFP above normal, but since those work in opposite directions as predictors of T21, I am not sure WHAT that means). Still, at least the triple test was done a minimum of 3.5 (and probably more like 5) weeks after the death of the twin, so I am hoping that means any effect would be minimal.

Thanks again for the encouragement - I have been getting no sleep (trying to feign calm to keep Mrs Fish from getting anxious!)
