The 10-15 convention is rule most often applied during the time of the 2nd trimester anatomical survey. One needs to look at the entire picture- the minimal clinical significance of mild VM is more often associated when detected at 18-22 weeks vs 36-38 weeks gestation
Even with a normal U/S one cannot conclude that the baby is normal- as I like to say, we don't know what we get until we get them home, and we don't know that they are normal until they leave home
