Trying again after C-Section

I recently lost twins (March 4) and had a C-section. The OB had to cut me both ways (horizontal and vertical) due to the twins positioning. I hear this can take a longer time to heal and there are concerns with possible uterine eruption in follow on pregnancies. I know I have to do all other births via C (would not choose otherwise). Curious on the recommended time to wait to try to get pregnant again? I will have to use IVF for my pregnancies (used with my twins).
