possible tia

Posted by kramercat76 on 10:03 12/9/2007:

I had my daughter in oct 05. During labor I began to feel unusual pressure in my head. Then after delivery the left side of my mouth and eye was drooping. I also could not open my mouth very much (which my dentist feels that I have TMJ). These symptoms cleared up in about an hour or two. No tests were ran at this time.

Since March 07, I have seen had blood tests that showed my igms to be 16, which I understand to be 'on the fence' for clotting issues. I have had an echo w/ bubbles & an MRI of my brain - both were negative for any issues.

My OBGYN feels that I had a TIA. My primary feels that it could have been a painless migraine. A high risk pregnancy doctor (who only had a few pages of my medical records from my OB, nothing from the hematologist) feels that I had a TIA due to my IGMs.

On a side note...I have been told that I have some possible nerve damage, because of some numbness I get on the top of my head. This is only once in a while, and seems to clear up with neck exercises.

I am trying to determine if it is safe for me to have another baby. My primary & high risk pregnancy doctor feels it's safe. The high risk pregancy doctor said I would need to take baby aspirin & my blood would need to be monitored.

But from what I understand if I had a TIA as a result of a problem in my brain or heart this could have cleared up now?

Please let me know your opinion....
