Question about Twins...

Hi doctor - I am 6w2d preg today, with twins. I had an u/s this morning b/c I have been spotting. My RE said baby A is strong (hb of 120) but baby B has an irregular yolk sac (he said it looked like a donut) and irregular sac. He thought he saw the heartbeat but then couldn't when he focused in on it. He's got me scheduled for an u/s later this week. He said I could be losing this baby. I'm wondering two things: 1) I am still spotting, how long can I expect this and 2) If I lose baby B, does that threaten baby A?
