Which cold meds won't interfere with high BP?

Posted by Melis on 10:05 3/28/2008:

Hi,

I am 34 weeks pg with twins and have gestational hypertension. I was wondering which cold meds I could take that will not send my BP soaring. This is really important to me because being this far along with twins and not being able to breathe through my nose is making me very anxious. Over the counter nasal sprays are working for me at night, but I cannot continue them because I am afraid of rebound congestion. How about corticosteroids like Flonase or Nasonex that don't cause this rebound effect?

Thanks,
Melissa
