Placenta previa

Posted by kateym on 15:06 4/2/2008:

Hi, I think you might have missed my question (two down) because I posted an additonal note that probably looked like a response, so I'll just repost.

At my 20 week ultrasound, it showed that I have placenta previa at this point (completely covering my cervix). I know that there is a chance that it might resolve, but what is the likeliood, given gestational age and the fact that it's complete previa? I have had one prior birth via c-section (in 2003) and also, 4 pregnancies that ended before 8 weeks (no d & c's, though).

Also, I take 5000 units of Fragmin daily (because of antiphospholipid antibodies--I am positive for ACA and LA). Does the fact that I am on Fragmin pose a greater risk for me or the baby? Would you recommend taking any precautions at this point?

Thanks for your advice.

Katey
