Those seeing a high risk OB - regarding fee for 9 months?

I'm about to leave my RE to see a high risk OB - whom does not accept any insurance - so i'll pay and then get reimbursed by my ins. and my husbands. The "flat" fee for the 9 months is 6500.00. Does this sounds real real high or is this within the "normal" range for a high risk dr.?
