RE says I WILL need a cerclage at 13 wks. Please advise on early amnio

First of all, I'm 37. My RE said that I can have an early amnio before the cerclage is put in to see if we are
saving a healthy baby here. Well, the deal is, I wouldn't terminate my pregnancy unless 2 doctors were
telling me that my baby is or soon would be suffering terribly physically and might possibly die anyway. Is
this something an EARLY amnio (like 12-13 weeks) can even detect?!!? My husband and I had already
decided that we would not put this pregnancy at risk by having ANY type of amnio, but that we would
probably have the triple screen with u/s at 16 weeks to determine the health of the baby. Would it be
advisable then, with the above in mind, that I go ahead and have the cerclage put in place at 13 weeks
and have NO amnio? By the way, all of my bloodwork results so far have been perfect therefore so far,
there is no indication that this pregnancy might be 'abnormal". Thanks so much for any advice!
