Once the heart beat is above 100 beats per minute, chances for a miscarriage are below 10%.
Check this Pregnancy Timetable and see where you are in pregnancy. It's usually from the first day of the last period (LMP).
The optimal ultrasound is usually done at around 20 weeks to look for fetal malformations.
