Dr, I am now 38+5 and after experiencing on/off contractions, fainting and higher than usual bp (140/90) have just been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. My bp was up to 150/80 last night in hospital and I am getting a lot of swelling, but noone seemed too concerned. Could the elevated bp be due to the UTI, and would I be overreacting asking them to do daily bp checks (I had preeclampsia with my first pregnancy) as I am not due to see my dr again until Thursday and realise how quickly these things can escalate. My dr doesn't seem too concerned about my bp but then he wasn't concerned when I was having contractions and fainting either and it took a canny midwife to pick up the UTI at the hospital last night.
Peace
Jane
