INCIID has two moderated adoption forums: Exploring Adoption and Expecting Through Adoption.

The Exploring Adoption board is the first-stop in your adoption transition. It is moderated by Pat Johnston, MS. Moderated forums are those where professional volunteers spend time answering questions and providing their expertise about specific topics. On Exploring Adoption you can work out whether adoption "feels right." what to do when a partner feels differently, and what "resolution" means. It covers how to gather information, how to decide what kind of child to adopt (age, gender, race, relative, health and more) and from where (domestic or international) and how (through an agency or independently) and what style ( fully open or completely confidential.) We also talk about finances, how to finance an adoption, and getting family and friends to "get it."

INCIID has a variety of adoption support boards. Our volunteers are here to help you find your way around and answer your questions about protocol and guidelines across the INCIID Website. There are a number of adoptive parents on INCIID, including INCIID's executive director.
