    Default Application

Hi I am currently filling my application out for INCIID the heart I am very nervous and anxious. Is anyone going through the same as I am? I am almost done gathering all the pieces. I am just waiting for my fertility doctor to send a letter to me.

    Hi Danielle,

I started an application and have been gathering info for it. The hardest part for me will be getting the letter since I currently only see my OB/GYN and not a RE. So I'm guessing I will have to pay a consulting fee to get the letter or something like that. But in any case, I might have to wait to apply for the scholarship because we have at least one more chance at an IUI before my doctor cuts us off and sends us for ivf.

    Good luck to you!!

    Hi!

I finally finalizied the application and sent it in before Christmas. There was so much information to put together. I already went to go see an IVF specialist about a year ago. My husband I just can not afford to go through the process even though having a child is one of my biggest dreams. She wrote such a nice letter to INCIID. I am pretty sure that a letter from your OB/GYN should be good enough. He/She is still a doctor with enough knowledge to send you for IVF. Talk to you soon!

    Hi Danielle,

Congratulations on submitting your application! I hope you you receive good news soon

We are going to an IVF orientation on Monday at UCSF (that is Univ. of California-San Francisco if you're not in California) to see what their program is like. Do you know how many times a year INCIID accepts applications?

    Default Each Quarter

    Hi Danielle,

I'm Tina. Just a little history....I sent my package in March 08. Got the call that we had been accepted July 08. Yes, it was GREAT news. In answer to your question, I think INCIID receives packages all year long and reviews them 4 times per year (each quarter I do believe). I can't guarantee you that but I think I remember that was what they did. We started raising our $3000 fundraiser in July and have just recently met the goal (Dec. 15th). We are now waiting to hear from INCIID regarding the next step which I believe is getting matched to a clinic to start the IVF procedure. I'm trying as best I can to be patient. Good luck!!

    Danielle,

All I did was send letters upon letters (the "dear friends and family" letter that INCIID provides). I emailed to several people who in return emailed to people that I didn't even know on their contact lists. We did have people that donated that I did not know. Its amazing....everyone is so generous even when they don't know you. My mom gave quit a bit that helped tremendously but we had about 30 people give and many of them were large amounts so again VERY GENEROUS people in my life who love me very much!! I wish you the same success!!

    Hi Tina!

Thanks for the information I am going to keep that in mind. If I am chosen I could definatley do something like that. I had a fundraiser last year for NF and I raised over $12,000. I was shocked. Our goal was much longer. So I know that I could raise $3,000 for INCIID with no problem.
