Ideas to help improve egg quality
I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about which vitamins etc are good to take. I decided to try acupuncture to see if it can improve circulation. I took dhea and coq10. The dhea had a really wierd effect on me and made me not have a regular period. So the doctor said to stop taking it. Some people it works really well with, like my friend. She took it and is now pregnant with twins, a boy and girl.
I had heard eating 2 eggs in the morning helps. But I would get a headache so I'm only eating one.
I heard exercise would make a difference.
I am 39 and took a huge dose of gonal f, first 300 iu, then 600, then 750, but only ended up with one good egg so the doc decided to cancel and try again with low dose stimulation.
Has anyone had success with that?
I took a ton of supplements with my 2 IVF cycles including CoQ10, DHEA, Melatonin, Vitamin C, & Fish Oil. I also did weekly acupuncture.
With the 2nd cycle, I took royal jelly to increase egg quality and quantity.
It seemed to work because I had more eggs the second time (11 eggs). But, for me, it really came down to my age, I was 44 at the time and my eggs just weren't good quality.
We're moving on to donor eggs with much deliberation.

My supplement regime. But it did not help get our BFP even with IVF.
I am right there with you. I am 41 and only produced 3 eggs and only one was good on my 1st time around.. I am hoping to try something (anything) to make more eggs this time around.
