    Default IVF, IUI or Laparoscopy

Good afternoon Dr. Roseff, I am looking for some advice/suggestions

I am 36 years old, TTC for over 1 year now, did one cycle of IUI with clomid which was unsuccessful. I had the HSG performed which showed tubes are fine. My egg quality/reserve is not very good AMH=0.75 (11 follicles), FSH=9, Estradiol=47.1.. The specialist that I am currently seeing is suspecting endometriosis and wants to do a laparoscopy. My question to you is, should I proceed with this, will this increase my chances of getting pregnant or should I go directly to IVF? Since one cycle of IUI failed, is it even worth it considering it again at my age? is IVF the best option?

Please let me know your thoughts.
    Thank you very much.

IF you're asking about ovarian reserve improving after endometriosis surgery, it typically does not. I can't tell you what to do or not do, as that's illegal since you're not my patient. Most patients (especially over age 35) seem to be getting away from laparoscopy in favor of assisted reproduction (like IVF). IF you consider IVF, be sure to do so at a center that has the highest success rate you can afford.
