Update From INCIID the Heart - The first and only national IVF scholarship program.

On October 31, 2017, INCIID celebrated the 12 year anniversary birthday of the first Heart baby's entry into the world.

Couples with financial and medical need may be eligible for participation in the program. Final committee selections and decisions take cost-of-living in different regions of the country into account Applicants will be required to provide copies of their most recent tax returns and paystubs and supply a letter from their doctor recommending IVF as medically necessary. Those selected will also partner with INCIID and have a small fund raising requirement. “Our goal,” says Hemenway, “is to give those without insurance coverage an opportunity to fulfill their dream of becoming parents

applicationHeart_0.pdfThe "From INCIID the Heart" IVF Scholarship is NOT a Grant Program. INCIID is a nonprofit charity (501 c 3). The scholarship program is comprised of donated IVF treatment for INCIID community members. No money is provided. Instead recipients receive approximately $25,000 of donated medical care.

 

Sensory Friendly Events in the DC Metro Area 2017- 2018

These events run from October through the end of 2017 plus a calendar of events through 2018. If your child with special needs or has sensory processing disorder or is affected by sensory input, check out these events in the Washington DC Metro area. Sensory processing disorder is a condition where the brain is conflicted on how to process information that comes in through the different senses. This condition is sometimes referred to as sensory integration dysfunction or disorder.Humans have a multitude of sensors. Sight (vision), hearing (audition), taste (gustation), smell (olfaction), and touch (somatosensation) are the five traditionally recognized senses. Some children (and adults) have processing difficulties. These events are designed in a way as not to exacerbate these issues.
