Getting to the Heart of the Matter

Here’s an idea for having a truly rewarding experience as a gift to each other on Valentine’s Day.  Forget all the trappings: wine (which may be off limits now anyway), reservations at the hottest restaurant in town (says who?), followed by even hotter sex (when sex has become irrelevant), a dozen overpriced roses, and all else.  How about an evening of deepening your intimacy?

To love someone is a decision, despite the Hallmark-esque expectation that violins will play.  Keeping that love alive is an even more crucial decision, made more challenging now by the enormous stress engendered in the quest to

Special Education Advocacy Stategies

Overview

Today we are going to talk about creating an advocacy strategy for your next event-or any other issue-with the school. It could be an IEP or 504 meeting. It could be mediation. It could be writing a state administrative complaint. It could be any event or issue that is happening in the future that is connected to your child’s special education.

The first question you must answer is
“What needs to be fixed or resolved?

Whole Foods Market has recalled items prepared with a supplier’s ground cumin spice ingredient that may have contained undeclared peanut. People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. (MORE) 

Many couples and individuals with infertility are successful in building their family through treatment. Some build a family through adoption; including international adoption.  Families are built in a number of ways. But all have one thing in common; they are parenting children.
