We need to coordinate what we want to do.

So sign your name and "vote" for what idea you like the best. New ideas are welcome.

Thanks!

I hope we can get this rolling.

I vote for Engraved Photo Locket (see link to view); and a gift certificate for money left over (like an American Express Gift Card). Alison could choose her favorite pictures of her and Al and kids to put inside locket.

Locket would have initial(s) engraved on front; could engrave something on back as well...like "Love, PNO-Inciid" in very small font on back.

Well, flowers for his memorial are a must, i would think, unless someone knows of a reason she doesnt' want them. From PNO/INCIID???

I liked the idea of getting her a large picture from the photo shoot.

Then what ever's left in a paypal account?

They also make pendants where they put the picture of the loved one on them and I like those b/c you don't ahve to hunt for a tiny picture. Would be nice ot do it w/one from last summer. I've seen them at walmarts uber fancy jewelry counter. LOL I live in a small town.

I'm pretty sure w/Kris for the funeral for her dp and baby we had donations go thru inciid's paypal account...seems like that woudl be the easiest way to do it if there is still one around and inciid ptb are open to it. Because we need to have flowers there and I'm guessing the memorial is soon...that might be the easiest way.

I like the idea of creating a professional memory book from their last photoshoot. As Jamie said, I'm worried that a full blown up pic of Al so sick might be too painful to see however, a memory book of those last days would be a wonderful momento - especially for their young daughter.

I will take care of a flower arrangement from PNO (see my separate thread on it).

I like the idea of us doing two things: one in rememberance and one financial.

REMEMBERANCE
I think there are enough photos from Doe's generousity (she's already had some delivered) and from Alison herself - she told me on the phone she had had some blown up just that day. I like the idea of a locket or a tree to plant. While I think the idea of a headstone is wonderful, I don't think that would be appropriate to come from us. If Alison wants to or needs to use our financial help for that, she could do that. But I don't think it is something we should involve ourselves in directly. So I vote either locket or tree.

FINANCIAL
I think the logistics of this idea might be harder than putting money in Alison's paypal account, but I like the idea of a thing (Amex card, bank check, whatever) that is from us to them in a specific amount. So if Cindy has a paypal we could funnel money there and then purchase the card.

And then of course, there's the schedule Doe put together to keep the thoughs, prayers and support ongoing.

I agree with your thoughts. One rememberance item and remaining money in a gift card (Amex).

I too agree that the headstone should be taken care of by the family.

BTW...I do have a Paypal account...if we need to funnel money to it. When we did the locket before...everyone sent check and that seemed to work OK as well>

I would like to contribute to whatever we decide to do for Alison. I kind of like the charm idea, but I'm open to whatever. I'm also getting confused with the different boards. Are CindyTx and MaryAnn each doing something or is this a combined effort?

I would like to do a combined effort...we just need to decide what we are doing and who will coordinate.

I think if we could all vote on what we want to do...I have like 25 emails of people interested in helping out. We just need to make a decision.
