Default Ugh, the fidgiting got the best of Lacey...

she fidgited herself right off one of our barstools onto the hardwood floor and banged her shoulder and injured the growth plate. She also banged up her elbow pretty badly.

She was in lot of pain for a few days and is in a sling. She's a trooper though, and was feeling a lot better today. Her teacher said yesterday she's never seen her sit so still. I said maybe I should send her in a sling everyday!

I am SO anxious for her OT eval next week. It can't come soon enough.

    Default Oh poor baby!

Glad she will be OK and that you have a few days of stillness! I know the wait for OT eval can seem like forever! Can't wait for an update!

Default Wow, sorry to hear she fell so hard.....m

It will be really good to hear what the OT says and what kinds of interventions will be helpful with the fidgeting and whatever else sensory-wise that she is going through. What is it about our kids when they are feverish or sick or in a sling or whatever - THAT's when they do their best. Sheesh.

Good luck, looking forward to hearing what the OT says.
