    Default mc question

I had heard that endometriosis could be a cause of mc due to immune issues. Is this correct? I have had severe endo since 17 yrs and I have had two mc's in the last year alone but also have a 3-year old, so I am confused on this issue. Thank you for nay information you may have-

It is not the endometriosis per se that causes the miscarriage. Rather endoometriosis is frequently associated with autoantibodies which are associated with miscarriage. Have you had any immune testing? Dr. Coulam

    Default testing

I have not had testing done yet...we are at the beginning stages. I was unaware that I would even need it until someone mentioned that there is a link. What would you suggest as the first steps?

The autoantibodies most frequently associated with endoometriosis are APA and ANA . For more information about immune testing you may visit the website of Millenova Immunology Laboratories at millenova.com. Dr. Coulam
