Great news! Can you tell me what the brand name is or if it just is dexadrine? Also, can you tell me why you went with this med? We are struggling with Carter and have tried Adderall XR (generic) at 5 mg and 10 mg, and he did HORRIBLE at 10 and it isn't doing much at 5. Then we tried 10 mg Metadate CD and then 20 mg, and those were even worse! I think dexadrine was a next option for us, but can't be sure...I have to call our ped this afternoon.

Thanks for any insight, and CONGRATS on 2 great days!

    hi,
it is still going pretty well. we have noticed an increase in anxiety though. however, she is calmer most of the time and is able to sit down.

yesterday she wanted to lay down while i read her a story in the afternoon. as you may remember, ella is not a lie down kind of kid. ever.

It is generic for DEXEDRINE SPANSULE 5 MG
It sprinkles on a bite of food....she refuses to swallow pills.

well, over the weekend we dared to give the full 5 mg dose of dexadrine... BIG MMISTAKE. The poor kid cried for 6 hours.

We went back to half of a dose and she is much better. Hope it stays this way.

She has had a few good days in a row at scchool too.....

thanks for listening and being sooo supportive!

Sorry to hear Ella had a rough day of it, must of been so hard for you and DH! Hang in there Angi! There's so much fine tuning that goes with meds, you're getting positive results, little by little.

I always like to remind myself by asking if today was a little bit better than yesterday, than gains are being made slowly!!

    HUGS!!! N
